Read more about this collection and how we ship
We supply UVA LED emitters at 365 nm, 385 nm and 405 nm in both high-power COB arrays and a compact glass-lens SMD package, to manufacturers, system integrators, universities, and research institutions across the United States. Orders are shipped either direct from REVOX in Kanagawa, Japan, or through our Torrance, California office, and we confirm the shipping route and lead time with every quote.
These are bare LED emitters (components), not finished curing lamps or exposure units. They are intended for designers building their own UV curing heads, exposure systems, sterilization modules, and inspection illuminators.

All three COB devices are 12-chip arrays on a 28.0 × 26.8 × 5.7 mm package with a 3.55 × 4.75 mm emitting area, a 120° viewing angle, and a built-in 10 kΩ NTC thermistor. Maximum forward current is 24 A; the ratings above are specified at 9 A. Thermal resistance is 0.31 °C/W, operating temperature is −40 to +85 °C, and maximum junction temperature is 125 °C.

The glass lens matters for UV: unlike silicone or epoxy encapsulants, glass does not yellow or degrade under sustained 365 nm exposure, so output stays stable over long duty cycles. The 50° beam also puts more of the available power on target without secondary optics, which suits spot curing and small-field inspection.
How to select a UV wavelength
365 nm is the standard for fluorescence excitation, UV inspection, and photoresist exposure, and it is the wavelength most widely supported by existing photoinitiator chemistries. It is also the hardest to produce efficiently, which is why its typical flux is lower than 385 nm from the same package.
385 nm gives the highest radiant flux of the three (18.6 W typical) and penetrates deeper into pigmented or filled resins. It is a common choice when throughput matters more than exact spectral match.
405 nm matches the absorption peak of many modern curing resins, including most 3D-printing photopolymers, and is at the visible boundary so alignment and setup are easier.
If your resin, adhesive, or photoresist datasheet specifies an absorption peak, match it. If it does not, request samples at two wavelengths and test cure depth directly.
Design notes
Thermal design drives UV lifetime. The COB arrays dissipate 93–101 W. At 0.31 °C/W the die-to-case path is excellent, but the case-to-ambient path is entirely your design. UV LEDs lose output faster than visible LEDs when run hot, so size the heat sink for the worst-case duty cycle and use the built-in NTC thermistor to monitor it.
Drive with constant current. Forward voltage spreads from 3.4 to 4.2 V on the 365 nm device and shifts with temperature. A constant-current driver keeps radiant flux predictable; a constant-voltage supply will not.
Specify radiant flux in watts, not lumens. UVA is outside the photopic response, so lumen and lux figures are meaningless. What matters for curing is irradiance (W/cm²) at the work surface and total dose (J/cm²), which depend on your working distance and optics as well as the emitter.
Plan for UV safety. These emitters produce hazardous levels of UVA. Enclose the beam path, provide interlocks, and specify UV-blocking eyewear for anyone working near an open beam.
Typical applications
UV adhesive and resin curing, photoresist exposure and direct imaging, surface sterilization and disinfection, fluorescence-based machine vision and automated optical inspection, forensic and currency inspection, and laboratory photochemistry.
For inspection applications, our application guide on UV LED illumination for fluorescence inspection and surface defect detection covers how to choose between 365, 385 and 405 nm, the filtering each imaging mode requires, and UV safety. Custom wavelengths and configurations
REVOX assembles its COB and SMD packages in-house in Japan, with die bonding, wire bonding and phosphor coating all performed on its own equipment. Owning the die bonding process is what allows the arrays to be packed this tightly: chips are placed with a chip-to-chip gap of 60 µm, which keeps the emitting area compact enough to couple efficiently into lenses and fiber optics. Because the whole assembly line is in-house, UV wavelengths outside this catalog, different chip counts, array layouts, substrates, and package dimensions can be produced to order. Send us your target wavelength, required irradiance, and annual quantity and we will quote a custom device.
Standard products cover 365 to 1,650 nm. Wavelengths outside that range, and other chip counts, array layouts or package sizes, are made to order. Tell us the wavelength and quantity you need and we will confirm feasibility with REVOX.
Pricing and lead time
All products are quoted individually, because pricing depends on wavelength, optical power, chip configuration, and quantity. Use the Request a Quote form on any product page, submit the Custom Order Form for non-standard requirements, or email sales@terapowerled.com.
These products are purchased in the United States from TeraPower LED. You order from and are invoiced by a U.S. company in Torrance, California, and we handle export, import, customs clearance, and delivery to your site, so there is no need to order from Japan or import the devices yourself.
