REVOX CB-MT-300 - 4-Channel High-Speed Pulsed LED Driver (300 W/ch)
Description
The REVOX CB-MT-300 is a four-channel LED driver that delivers up to 300 W per channel, for machine builders who are driving high-power LED illumination directly instead of buying a packaged illuminator. Each channel is a constant-current output adjustable from 0 to 12.5 A, and all four can run continuously or be pulsed, with seven lighting modes that cover simple pulsing, sequential firing of each channel from one trigger, and stepping through up to eight stored dimming levels on successive trigger edges. REVOX's own DIT correction, short for Direct Illuminance Technology, is fitted as standard and compensates automatically for the maximum current of the connected light, so brightness tracks the dimming value linearly and repeatably. A calibration function matches the power delivery to the specific illumination, and thermistor and fan connectors let the driver monitor LED temperature and control cooling for custom light heads. TeraPower LED is the authorized United States distributor of REVOX, Inc.

- Response: specified within 10 µs for rise and fall combined, with a fastest measured figure of 2 µs or less under REVOX test conditions, which is a reference value rather than a guaranteed value. Pulsed mode and high-speed pulse dimming mode 1 do not meet the 10 µs figure
- Lighting time: 2.0 µs-9.9 ms in 0.1 µs steps; lighting delay 0.0 µs-9.9 ms in 0.1 µs steps; trigger input filter 0.0 µs-0.99 ms in 0.1 µs steps

- Thermistor input for illumination temperature: DC 3.3 V ±5%
- Monitoring display: LED temperature, internal board temperature, and cumulative operating hours
- Estimated product life: 70,000 hours; this is a reference value, not a warranty period
- Operating environment: 0-40 °C, 20-80 %RH, no condensation, altitude up to 2,000 m, indoor pollution degree 2. Install on its rubber feet without blocking the air inlet or outlet
- Storage environment: -20-60 °C, 20-85 %RH, no condensation, altitude up to 10,000 m
- Dimensions excluding protrusions: W 230 x D 186 x H 88 mm; mass 2.2 kg
- Construction: aluminum alloy and stainless steel with black paint finish; forced air cooling by fan at 0.89 m³/min
- Compliance: CE marking with safety standard EN 61010-1 and EMC standards IEC 61000-6-2 and IEC 61000-6-4; RoHS to EN IEC 63000. EMC compliance requires the specified external ferrite core and filter on the DC 48 V input cable and a shielded VCTF AWG16 illumination drive cable
System components
- Driver: CB-MT-300, ordered as a single model number
- DC 48 V power supply: not included. Select a supply whose rated output capacity exceeds the driver's power consumption, which reaches 1,360 VA at full load across four channels
- Cabling: a UL1015 AWG10 DC 48 V input cable with the specified ferrite core and filter, and shielded VCTF AWG16 cables for the illumination outputs; these parts are required for EMC compliance
- Illumination: REVOX COB and SMD LED emitters, custom light heads, or your own LED assembly. The driver supports thermistor monitoring and fan control for custom heads
- Setup application: a Windows application for lighting control, output parameter and lighting mode settings, and DIT correction
- Supplied accessories: instruction manual
Applications
- Driving high-power COB LED emitters in an OEM inspection machine, where a packaged illuminator is not wanted
- Multi-channel imaging that fires up to four lights in sequence from one camera trigger
- Capturing several exposure conditions in one pass, by stepping through up to eight dimming levels
- Strobe illumination on fast-moving product, at lighting times from 2.0 µs
- Development benches that need repeatable, linear brightness control for radiometric comparison between wavelengths
- Custom light heads that need LED temperature monitoring and fan speed control from the driver
Specifications above are taken from the REVOX product documentation. Tell us the LED emitters you plan to drive, their forward voltage and current, the number of channels, and the trigger scheme, and we will confirm that the output range covers your load and specify the driver, cabling, and DC supply. If you are selecting emitters at the same time, we supply REVOX COB and SMD LEDs from 365 nm to 1,650 nm.
Ordering and sourcing information
How this product is configured
The CB-MT-300 is a single model number, but it is quoted as part of a system. The DC 48 V supply is not included and has to be sized to the load, the input and output cabling is specified by the EMC requirement, and the output voltage and current range has to be checked against the forward voltage of the LEDs you intend to drive, because output current depends on output voltage and no channel can exceed 300 W. We work through those numbers with you before quoting.
Minimum order quantity
There is no minimum order quantity. A single driver is handled exactly like a production order, so evaluation units are quoted the same way as volume purchases.
Lead time
Drivers are built to order at the factory, so lead time depends on component availability. Orders are shipped either direct from REVOX in Kanagawa, Japan, or through our Torrance, California office. We confirm the shipping route and the lead time with every quote, so the delivery schedule is fixed before you commit to an order.
U.S. purchasing and technical support
You can buy this LED driver in the United States from TeraPower LED, the authorized United States distributor of REVOX, Inc. You order from and are invoiced by a U.S. company in Torrance, California, and we handle export, import, customs clearance, and delivery to your site - there is no need to order from Japan or import the system yourself. Questions on output range against LED forward voltage, lighting mode selection, trigger wiring, DIT correction, and EMC cabling are answered in English from the United States, with direct access to the manufacturer's engineering team in Japan whenever a question needs the designer.
Pricing
This product is quoted individually, because pricing depends on quantity and on the cabling and support package. Use the Request a Quote form on this page or email sales@terapowerled.com. For requirements outside the standard lineup, submit the Custom Order Form.
