Description

The REVOX SLG-600V2 is the highest-output fiber optic illuminator in the SLG series, developed as an LED replacement for xenon flash lamps in inspection systems. REVOX publishes an output increase of more than eleven times that of its conventional LED fiber sources, and a 40% increase in light output over the previous SLG-600 generation with lower fan noise. With dimming at 50% or above, the light switches on and off in 1 µs or less, so it can be used as a high-speed pulsed source as well as a continuous one, and the high dimmer system can store up to eight dimming levels with their own emission times and step through them on an internal or external trigger. Light-output feedback is standard, which holds the set output over a stabilization time of up to 23,000 hours. The SLG-600V2-FC variant adds an internal five-position filter changer for wavelength selection. TeraPower LED is the authorized United States distributor of REVOX, Inc.

• Light guide: selected separately. Straight, ring, and line light guides are configured to the application, and the light guide is not included with the illuminator
• Ferrule adaptor: selected separately to match the light guide dimensions, with custom ferrule specifications available for sizes outside the standard list
• Filters for the FC model: heat-resistant filters recommended by REVOX, changed by removing the front cover. Up to five are held in the changer, and the changer is controlled the same way as dimming
• Supplied accessories: instruction manual and a 2 m three-pin grounded AC cord; the FC model also includes five filter brackets and eighteen fixing screws

Illuminance figures published by REVOX are measured with a straight light guide of Ø8 mm bundle diameter and 1,000 mm length at maximum dimming, and are reference values rather than guaranteed values. Ordering and sourcing information

How this product is configured

The SLG-600V2 is supplied as a system rather than a single part number. The illuminator, the light guide, and the ferrule adaptor are specified together, because the light guide bundle diameter, length, and output shape determine the illuminance you actually get at the workpiece. The filter changer and the misalignment detection option are specified at the time of order and cannot be added later in the field, so we work through the configuration with you before quoting.

Minimum order quantity

There is no minimum order quantity. A single illuminator with its light guide is handled exactly like a production order, so evaluation units are quoted the same way as line deployments.

Lead time

These illuminators are built to order at the factory, so lead time depends on the configuration and on component availability. Orders are shipped either direct from REVOX in Kanagawa, Japan, or through our Torrance, California office. We confirm the shipping route and the lead time with every quote, so the delivery schedule is fixed before you commit to an order.
