REVOX SPX-TB-07/30/70 - LED Line Light with Pseudo-Parallel Light Distribution
Description
The REVOX SPX-TB-07/30/70 is a family of three LED line lights that share one housing, one power supply platform, and one optical concept, and differ only in brightness class. The optics are designed around pseudo-parallel light distribution for line-scan cameras, which keeps illuminance high at longer working distances instead of losing it immediately away from the emitting surface. Because the dedicated cable supports runs of up to 50 m between the light head and the power supply, the controller can sit well away from the inspection station. Choosing the brightness class that matches the application, rather than always buying the brightest light, is the point of the series: the 07 class draws 65 W/m where the 70 class draws 267 W/m. TeraPower LED is the authorized United States distributor of REVOX, Inc.

- Light-emitting area width: 26 mm
- Power consumption at maximum illuminance: 267 W/m for SPX-TB-70, 130 W/m for SPX-TB-30, 65 W/m for SPX-TB-07
- Dimensions excluding protrusions: L (light-emitting length + 120) x W 50 x H 70 mm
- Expected LED life: 50,000 hours, defined as the time until the initially set maximum luminous flux falls to 70% with a housing temperature between 0 and 50 °C; this is a reference value, not a warranty period
- Cable length with the dedicated CBL-TB cable: up to 50 m for normal operation, up to 20 m for pulse lighting
- Operating environment: 5-40 °C, 20-80 %RH, no condensation
- Storage environment: -10-60 °C, 20-85 %RH, no condensation
System components
- Light head, ordered as SPX-TB-①-②-③-④-⑤-⑥-⑦: ① brightness class (70, 30, or 07), ② end connector orientation (front exit at both ends, standard = NN; straight exit = MS), ③ light-emitting length (0120 to 3960 in 120 mm increments), ④ LED color (white = WHT, red 1 = RED, red 2 = OSR, green = GRN, blue = BLU, amber = AMB), ⑤ housing surface screws (standard = N, stainless steel = S), ⑥ air purge fitting hole (none = NP; inlet on the side = SP, for NN ends only; inlet on the front = FP and inlet on the rear = RP, for MS ends only), ⑦ emitting surface cover (clear flat resin cover, t = 3 mm = CLR). Example: SPX-TB-70-NN-0960-WHT-N-NP-CLR
- Dedicated power supply CB-TB-600 or CB-TB-1200, selected by class and length: SPX-TB-70 uses the 600 W supply from 120 to 3,000 mm and the 1,200 W supply from 3,120 to 3,960 mm, while SPX-TB-30 and SPX-TB-07 use the 600 W supply across the full 120 to 3,960 mm range. AC 100-240 V 50/60 Hz ±10%, H 177 x D 250 x W 140 mm, approximately 3.5 kg and 4.3 kg respectively, 3-pin AC inlet with an AC 125 V cord supplied as standard, 100 mm installation clearance front and rear
- Power supply control inputs: manual dimming on the front panel, external voltage dimming at DC 0-5 V, digital dimming by external 8-bit (256 levels) or 10-bit (1,024 levels) input, ON/OFF pulse control by external signal with the optional LVDS differential driver (model code L), RS-232C serial dimming, and Ethernet (LAN) dimming
- Power supply alarm outputs: LED open-circuit error, LED overtemperature error at a thermistor temperature of 120 °C, LED temperature warning at 108 °C, communication error, and power supply fault
- Dedicated cable CBL-TB, published in 5 m steps as CBL-TB-050 through CBL-TB-300 for 5 m to 30 m, with longer runs to 50 m available for normal operation
- Compliance: EU RoHS compliant; CE marking with safety standards EN61010-1 and EN62311 and EMC standards EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, and EN61000-4-4
Applications
- Line-scan inspection at longer working distances, where pseudo-parallel distribution preserves illuminance at the surface
- Installations where the power supply must sit in a cabinet far from the camera station, using cable runs up to 50 m
- Fine defect detection on sheet, film, web, and printed material
- Multi-station lines where each station is fitted with the brightness class it actually needs, to control power and heat
- Existing SPX-TB installations that need an additional light on the same power supply and cable platform

Custom light source configurations are also available upon request, so tell us your inspection width, working distance, camera, and line speed, and we will confirm the brightness class, exact model number, power supply, and cable configuration.
Ordering and sourcing information
How this product is configured
The SPX-TB-07/30/70 is supplied as a system rather than a single part number. Every order combines the light head in the chosen brightness class, the matching CB-TB power supply sized by class and light-emitting length, and a dedicated CBL-TB cable in the length your installation needs, with the LVDS option added when the camera system drives the light by external pulse. Because brightness class, light-emitting length, LED color, end connector orientation, and purge and screw options are all specified at the time of order, we build the configuration with you before quoting.
Minimum order quantity
There is no minimum order quantity. A single light with its power supply and cable is handled exactly like a production order, so evaluation units are quoted the same way as line deployments.
Lead time
These illuminators are built to order at the factory, so lead time depends on the configuration and on component availability. Orders are shipped either direct from REVOX in Kanagawa, Japan, or through our Torrance, California office. We confirm the shipping route and the lead time with every quote, so the delivery schedule is fixed before you commit to an order.
U.S. purchasing and technical support
You can buy this illuminator in the United States from TeraPower LED, the authorized United States distributor of REVOX, Inc. You order from and are invoiced by a U.S. company in Torrance, California, and we handle export, import, customs clearance, and delivery to your site - there is no need to order from Japan or import the system yourself. Questions on brightness class, light-emitting length, LED color, dimming control, and power supply sizing are answered in English from the United States, with direct access to the manufacturer's engineering team in Japan whenever a question needs the designer.
Pricing
This product is quoted individually, because pricing depends on the brightness class, light-emitting length, LED color, power supply, cable length, and options. Use the Request a Quote form on this page or email sales@terapowerled.com. For requirements outside the standard lineup, submit the Custom Order Form.
